Bouldering today, diet holding.. (Day #5)

Today is Saturday and I get the weekend off, so the boyfriend and I decided to go out and do some bouldering with a friend. We did a good hour of bouldering. Food wise, my diet kind of failed but not really. In terms of actual amount, I didn't eat that much. Tomorrow will be much more diet-focused. I'm dreading Monday's weights but at least it will let me know if I'm on the right track or not. Breakfast: Fruit smoothie Snack #1: Taro bubble tea :x Lunch: Spicy chicken teriyaki One cup white rice salmon skin roll Snack #2: one serving potato chips Dinner: The rest of the spicy chicken teriyaki One cup white rice Snack #3: One brownie bite Exercise: One hour of bouldering

Life is about successes and failures (Day #4)

Hi. Okay, I kind of had a diet fail today, and instead of cowering in the corner and pretending it didn't happen, I'm going to document exactly what happened so I can reflect and not do this again. To summarize, my diet was fine until dinner time, when I offered to got a sushi buffet with the boyfriend. I literally have no excuse. I went to the sushi buffet because I thought it would make him happy (he was feeling down), but he was also up to going to a sushi place where I wouldn't order so much sushi in the first place. I should have picked the actual Japanese restaurant. My mistake. My success, though, is that I did exercise today and I didn't eat as much as I could have, so that's good! And in the grand scheme of things, sushi in itself isn't a bad "cheat meal", so I'm going to look at the positives here and move on. Breakfast: Fruit smoothie (the usual) Leftover tinola with half cup of white rice Snack #1:  Chocolat...

Continuing this Journey (Day #2)

Breakfast: None, wokeup late Snack #1: Half of an almond bar, and one serving of pringles Lunch: Mackarel, long beans, tomatoes, egg plant, zucchini squash, over brown/white rice Snack #2: Half-serving of chocolate-covered raisins Dinner: Tinola: squash, onion, ginger, garlic, one chicken-thigh, in chicken broth, over brown/white rice Exercise: 45 minutes of total body workout Nothing significant today. Continuing the trend. I do enjoy my one-serving of two snacks a day that are not compliant with the mediterranean diet. Will continue this diary!

End of Day 1, and Already Failed at keeping track. But.. (Day #1)

Woops! I guess I forgot to take pictures of what I ate today. It actually wasn't that bad! Did a little research on the Mediterranean diet and it's actually quite enjoyable, and not nearly as restrictive as the keto diet. Strangely though, I didn't really eat a lot today. I wonder if it had to do with that whole fish I ate. Breakfast Protein shake: 2 scoops of organic protein, couple of strawberries, handful of blueberries Snack #1: 1 serving of Kettle-cooked potato chips Lunch: Wasn't hungry! Had nothing for lunch.  Snack #2: Half a serving of chocolate-covered raisins Dinner: Pan-fried Tilapia (whole fish fried in EVOO, shared half of the fish with the boyfriend). 2 cups of wild rice Mixed vegetables: egg plant, zucchini, green beans Snack #3: Did not really have a snack, but I had 2 onions rings, half a serving of french fries, and a bite of my boyfriend's burger he got from Burger Express.  Exercise About 45 minute...

Day 1: The initial numbers, and what my plan is to reach my goal

Good morning everybody! Or good afternoon, rather. I slept quite late last night - all the holiday festivities have ruined my sleeping schedule. I've been sleeping closer to 3AM than usual, and that's definitely needing to change before I head back to work once my vacation is over. I have done some measurements  for myself today so I can keep track of my progress as the year goes on. 2020 is my year - I can feel it. 2020... clarity, vision.. may losing 20 lbs? Whatever symbolism there is in the year, I'm going to achieve the weight loss that I want. Also don't forget to check out my "About My Weight Loss" to learn about my history with weight loss. I'll be making that page today. Huzzah! The Measurements I own a nifty scale that allows me to measure not only my weight, but my fat composition, water weight, muscle, visceral fat, and more. I know a lot of people will tell me that these measurements are probably inaccurate, but after getting some numb...

I have a Muffin Top, and I hate it

I don't just have pudge. I have a full-on muffin top. I wear a pair of jeans my stomach literally spills over the waistband. I could literally down and grab a handful of tummy fat. When people take pictures of me sitting, I can clearly see the fat rolling down from under my shirt. I can only hope to hide away and wear a shirt big enough, and dark enough, to conceal it all. But not anymore! Nope. The hiding is done. Today, I'm creating a weight loss journal to help me keep track of everything that I go through from this on out. It's a way to keep track of things, and it being on a public platform, it helps me stay accountable. Expect some daily food updates, along with weekly weight loss numbers, possible measurements, and especially a screen shot of this cool app thing I bought with a smart scale. This isn't meant to be a professional blog, but a personal one. I can only hope this information, through my successes and failures, can help you i...
